Phase I Environmental Site Assessment

Scope of Work for a Phase I ESA is in accordance with the ASTM standards, designation E1527 and includes comprehensive site reconnaissance to identify potential recognized environmental conditions.

Phase II Subsurface Investigation

The Phase II Subsurface Investigation scope of work is based upon recognized environmental concerns discovered during a Phase I ESA. Comprehensive subsurface sampling and analysis for environmental contaminants.

Soil Borings

Up to 6 on-site soil borings to 6-12 feet below ground surface using GeoProbe technology.

Groundwater Sampling

Temporary wells for groundwater sampling when groundwater is encountered.

Field Analysis

On-site geologist classification and VOC screening with Photoionization detector (PID).

Laboratory Analysis

Up to 8 soil or groundwater samples analyzed for VOCs, PNAs, and total metals.

Phase II Investigation Details:

Field Investigation:

  • • Up to 6 on-site soil borings to 6-12 feet below ground surface
  • • GeoProbe technology for efficient subsurface investigation
  • • Temporary wells for groundwater sampling when encountered
  • • On-site geologist for soil classification and VOC screening

Laboratory Analysis:

  • • Up to 8 soil or groundwater samples
  • • VOC analysis with methanol preservation
  • • Polynuclear aromatics (PNAs) testing
  • • Total metals analysis
